An educational and methodological seminar dedicated to the work of Seitnazar Seidi was held in Turkmenabat

On the occasion of the 250th anniversary of the birth of the great commander-poet Seitnazar Seidi, who left an indelible mark on the history of Turkmen literature, a significant educational and methodological seminar was held at the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seitnazar Seidi. The seminar, titled “The Artistic Depiction of Historical Events of the Era in the Work of Seitnazar Seidi,” conducted via a digital platform, once again highlighted the deep reverence for our literary heritage.The seminar was attended by teachers from the country’s higher and secondary vocational educational institutions, researchers from the Institute of Language, Literature, and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, as well as student youth. During the opening ceremony, speakers particularly emphasized the poet’s skill in artistically depicting historical events of the 18th century and his mastery in harmoniously combining poetry with military leadership. The work of Seitnazar Seidi holds immense significance not only from a literary perspective but also as a valuable historical source.The educational and methodological seminar continued after the plenary session in four separate sections. Scholars and teachers who spoke analyzed the poet’s work from various perspectives. A total of about 140 presentations were heard, which explored the profound meaning of Seitnazar Seidi’s patriotic, heroic, and noble works, as well as his lyrical love poetry.As was particularly noted at the seminar, Seitnazar Seidi’s work serves as a vital tool in fostering patriotism among the younger generation and cultivating love for the historical past of our people. Such events are clear evidence of the growing importance attached to folk creativity and classical literature.
