The European Space Agency (ESA) has revealed the concept of a new lunar rover called Mona Luna. The device looks unusual and has already earned the playful nickname "moon wagon" — only a horse in front is missing.

Specifications of the Mona Luna lunar rover:

  • Length — 2.5 m

  • Width — 1.64 m

  • Weight — 750 kg

  • Maximum speed — up to 20 km/h

  • Purpose — exploration of the Moon’s surface and transportation of equipment

The development is at an early stage, but engineers hope that Mona Luna will become part of one of the upcoming European missions to the Moon. The rover will be fully autonomous and capable of moving across the uneven terrain of the satellite under low gravity conditions.
