FIFA Unveils Mascots for the 2026 World Cup
The International Federation of Football (FIFA) has unveiled the official mascots for the upcoming football celebration — the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Each host country of the tournament has chosen its own symbol:
-
Canada's mascot will be a moose named Maple;
-
Mexico's will be a jaguar named Zaayu;
-
The USA's will be an eagle named Clutch.
At the same time, the mascots representing the host countries combine natural and cultural symbols, creating an image of friendship and unity.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will take place from June 15 to July 13 across three countries: the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
It will be the first World Cup in history to be hosted by three nations.
A record number of teams — 48 national squads — will participate. Matches will be played in 16 cities, with the majority of games, including the knockout stage, taking place in the United States.
