One-millionth electric vehicle
Volkswagen's factory located in Zwickau, Germany, has reached an impressive milestone — it has produced its one-millionth electric vehicle.

This milestone was marked with the production of the Volkswagen ID.3 GTX Performance model.
Over the past five and a half years, the factory has fully transitioned from producing internal combustion engine vehicles to manufacturing electric vehicles. The EV production began in 2019 with the launch of the ID.3, based on the MEB platform. Today, the Zwickau plant produces half of all electric vehicles made by the Volkswagen Group in Europe.
