President of Turkmenistan Holds a Working Meeting
On May 26, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyev and the hyakims (governors) of the velayats, where issues related to the country’s agricultural sector and ongoing regional activities were discussed.

The first to speak was the hyakim of Ahal velayat, T. Nurmyradov, who reported on the progress of ongoing seasonal agricultural campaigns in the region.
It was noted that all necessary measures have been taken in the velayat to ensure an organized start to the grain harvest and loss-free collection of the grown crops.
Inter-row cultivation, fertilization with mineral fertilizers, and irrigation are being carried out in cotton fields, with full utilization of agricultural machinery. Efforts are being made to enhance the country's food security by properly maintaining potato and other vegetable and melon crops and harvesting the grown produce in accordance with agronomic standards.
Preparations are also underway for cultural and sports events in the region dedicated to International Children's Day, World Bicycle Day, and the summer holiday season for children.
After hearing the report and emphasizing the importance of strictly following agronomic standards in agricultural work, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov gave specific instructions to the regional administration leader.
Next, the hyakim of Balkan velayat, H. Ashyrmyradov, reported on the progress of seasonal field campaigns in the region.
It was noted that preparations for the wheat harvest are underway. Inter-row cultivation, irrigation, and fertilization are being carried out in the cotton fields using agricultural machinery effectively.
Efforts continue for the successful implementation of the cocoon production plan, with silkworm cocoons being delivered to collection points.
In line with the country’s goals for food security, coordinated work is being carried out on planting, tending, and harvesting potatoes and melon crops.
Preparations are also being made for festive and sports events dedicated to International Children's Day and World Bicycle Day, and for the children’s summer holiday season.
After hearing the report, the President stressed the importance of adhering to agronomic requirements for cotton care and quality preparation for the grain harvest and gave relevant instructions to the hyakim.
Then, the hyakim of Dashoguz velayat, D. Babaev, reported on the ongoing seasonal agricultural work in the region.
It was noted that in preparation for an efficient and organized grain harvesting campaign, grain reception points, elevators, harvesters, and other machinery have been fully prepared.
In the cotton fields, inter-row cultivation, weeding, and thinning continue, along with preparations for irrigation and fertilization. At the same time, measures are being taken to ensure timely rice planting.
Cocoon delivery to collection enterprises continues as part of the cocoon procurement season. Irrigation and care for potatoes and other vegetable and melon crops are also being carried out in accordance with agronomic standards.
Preparations are ongoing for cultural events marking International Children's Day, World Bicycle Day, and the children's summer holiday season.
Upon hearing the report, the head of state emphasized the significance of the current critical agricultural season and instructed the hyakim to maintain strict oversight of the region’s agronomic operations.
Next, the hyakim of Lebap velayat, M. Annanepesov, reported on the region’s agricultural campaigns.
Measures are being taken to prepare for a timely and loss-free wheat harvest. Inter-row cultivation, weeding, thinning, fertilization, and irrigation are being actively carried out in cotton fields using agricultural machinery.
In addition to tending to potatoes and other crops, the harvest of early potatoes has begun.
Preparations are also being made for events dedicated to International Children’s Day, World Bicycle Day, and the organization of the children’s summer holidays.
Summing up the report, President of Turkmenistan emphasized that timely and quality implementation of agronomic work is one of the key factors for successful agricultural production and gave several specific instructions to the hyakim.
Then the hyakim of Mary velayat, B. Orazov, reported on the status of seasonal agricultural campaigns.
Measures are being taken for an organized start to the wheat harvest and loss-free collection of crops grown through the dedicated efforts of farmers. Inter-row cultivation, fertilization, and irrigation are being carried out in cotton fields with particular attention to effective use of agricultural machinery.
Silkworm cocoon harvesting and delivery to the state also continue. Work is being done to tend to potatoes and other crops, as well as harvesting the mature produce.
Information was also shared on preparations for celebrations for International Children’s Day, World Bicycle Day, and the summer holiday season for children.

It was noted that all necessary preparations have been made for an organized wheat harvest within set timelines, with grain reception points, elevators, and transport ready.
Comprehensive measures are being implemented for cotton field maintenance, including inter-row cultivation, thinning, weeding, fertilization, and irrigation, with the effective use of machinery and equipment.
Rice sowing continues in Dashoguz velayat, while preparations are underway in Lebap velayat.
Simultaneously, silkworm cocoons are being collected and delivered to the state, and care and harvesting of potatoes and other vegetable crops continue across the regions.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed that timely implementation of agronomic activities, strict adherence to agronomic standards, efficient use of land and water resources, and the gradual introduction of innovative methods in production are key to achieving high yields, sustainable agricultural development, and ultimately, further food abundance in the country. He gave a number of specific instructions to the Vice Premier in this regard.

In addition, the head of state emphasized the importance of timely rice planting in Dashoguz velayat, prompt settlement of payments between cotton and wheat producers and service organizations in the regions, and strict monitoring of care for potatoes and other crops and the harvesting of ripe produce.
He also instructed proper preparations for events celebrating International Children’s Day and World Bicycle Day, and for organizing the children's summer holiday season.
