President of Turkmenistan Meets with President of the Republic of Armenia

On August 6, the honored President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, met with the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, who arrived in the country on an official visit to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The Head of State expressed gratitude to the President of the friendly country for participating in the international forum held in Turkmenistan in cooperation with the United Nations. It was noted that his participation in this important event, held once every ten years, testifies to the great importance these countries attach to sustainable development efforts.
The President of the Republic of Armenia expressed thanks for the invitation to participate in the international conference, praised its high organizational level, and emphasized the significance of such an important event in strengthening ties among landlocked developing countries.
The interlocutors noted with satisfaction that bilateral cooperation based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and trust is steadily developing.
In recent years, relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Armenia have reached a qualitatively new level. Mutual visits, high-level talks, and consultations on various aspects of bilateral cooperation are clear evidence of this.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that trade and economic cooperation remains a key direction of the Turkmen-Armenian interstate dialogue. Special attention is paid to establishing new areas of cooperation and expanding the range of export-import goods.
The interlocutors also highlighted the importance of strengthening bilateral cultural and humanitarian cooperation and noted the vast opportunities for joint work and experience exchange in the fields of science, education, culture, and arts.
At the end of the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President Vahagn Khachaturyan exchanged their best wishes and expressed confidence that interstate cooperation, based on principles of mutual respect and trust, will continue to develop successfully for the benefit of the peoples of both countries.
