School Students of Our Country Win 420, and University Students 335 Medals in International Subject and Online Olympiads
Between January and September of this year, school students of Turkmenistan won a total of 420 medals in international subject and online Olympiads, while university students earned 335 medals. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister B. Orazdurdyeva during the regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on September 3.
Specifically, school students received 136 gold, 156 silver, and 128 bronze medals. University students earned 62 gold, 109 silver, and 164 bronze medals.
During the reporting period, reforms aimed at raising educated and knowledgeable generations continued. Advanced teaching methods were widely introduced into the education system, and new textbooks were published. First-grade students were presented with “Bilimli” laptop computers as gifts on behalf of the Hero Arkadag and the esteemed President. The International University for Industrialists and Entrepreneurs was officially opened and put into operation with the participation of the National Leader of the Turkmen people. Additionally, a number of new schools and kindergartens were opened during this time.
The Honorable President, after hearing the report, emphasized the importance of properly organizing work in the fields of education, science, healthcare, and sports, as well as giving special attention to providing modern education to the youth in educational institutions. The Head of State instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to pay particular attention to further developing the national healthcare system and sports sector.
