Sea butterfly

Scientifically known as Gymnosomata, these sea butterflies are a type of predatory marine creature. They can be found in the cold waters of the Northern Hemisphere at depths of up to 500 meters. With a body size of 2–4 centimeters, their unusual structure resembles clear glass. They swim using wing-like structures made of muscle. On their forehead and the sides of their head, they have two pairs of well-developed appendages. Also referred to as “sea angels,” these creatures primarily feed on plankton, mollusks, and other tiny marine organisms.
