The largest electric ferry
In the port of Hobart, Australia, the company «InCat» launched the world’s largest electric ferry. Its length is 130 meters. The ferry operates solely on electricity generated from solar panels. The total capacity of its batteries is 40,000 kilowatt-hours, with a combined weight of 250 tons. This massive vessel can transport up to 2,100 passengers and 225 vehicles. The ferry is currently planned to operate between Argentina and Uruguay.
