The Labor Successes of LEBAP Silkworm Breeders

This year, silkworm breeders in the Lebap Velayat have once again successfully fulfilled their cocoon production targets. As a result, 1,010 tons of cocoons were contributed to the country's silk industry. Efforts in this direction continue, with over 30 tons of cocoons produced beyond the planned targets so far.

The Labor Successes of LEBAP Silkworm Breeders

Silkworm breeders from the Chardzhev, Halach, Danew, and Kerki etraps (districts) emerged as leaders this season. Notably, the silkworm breeders of Chardzhev Etrap produced 261 tons of cocoons, achieving the highest result in the velayat.This year, the number of silkworm breeders producing 300–400 kilograms of cocoons has increased compared to previous years. The silkworm breeders from the “Murzebeggala,” “Hatap,” and “Gyzylayak” farmer associations in Kerki Etrap, as well as the “Chohpetde,” “Magtymguly,” and “Lebap” farmer associations in Halach Etrap, were recognized as top performers of the season. They responded to the vast opportunities created for rural workers by our Heroic Leader with their honest labor.Silk production, passed down from generation to generation by our ancestors, holds special value in the Lebap Velayat. The “Yupek” production association in Turkmenabat city produces more than ten types of products from Turkmen silk. Currently, sericulture is experiencing new developments, becoming one of the most promising sectors of the country’s textile industry. Its products are in high demand not only within the country but also abroad.Thanks to the efforts of our Heroic Arkadag and Heroic Leader, significant attention is being paid to the agricultural sector. This provides a strong impetus for increasing the country’s production capacity. Such transformations are aimed at developing rural socio-economic relations, incentivizing producers, and improving the living standards of our people.
