Wheat Harvest Season Begins in Lebap Province

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has given his blessing for the start of the wheat harvest in Lebap province, according to TDH.

Speaking at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, the head of state emphasized that Turkmenistan places great importance on the modernization of the agro-industrial sector. The government continues to create all necessary conditions to ensure abundant harvests, which is clearly reflected in this year’s successful agricultural season.

“This year, the regions of the country, including Lebap province, have yielded a bountiful wheat crop” President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated.

According to the official schedule, the grain harvest in Lebap will begin on June 4. In keeping with tradition, the President appealed to respected elders to give their blessing for the start of the harvest with the words "Bissimilla!" and wished the farmers, machine operators, and all rural workers great success in their honorable work.

All preparations for the harvest season have been completed in Lebap province. The region is expected to make a substantial contribution to the national grain reserves this year.
