The world’s smallest 1TB USB-C flash drive introduced

SanDisk has unveiled the “SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C Flash Drive”, described as the world’s smallest 1TB data carrier. The new flash drive is now available in several countries, with the 1TB version priced at $120 USD.

The new SanDisk Extreme Fit USB-C flash drive measures 18.50 x 15.70 x 13.60 millimeters and weighs only 3 grams. It connects easily to laptops or tablets and does not protrude from the port. According to SanDisk representatives, the device fits tightly into a USB-C port and remains securely in place even when the device is moved or carried in a bag.

The flash drive supports the USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface and provides read speeds of up to 400 MB/s, with capacities ranging from 128 GB to 1 TB. However, SanDisk notes that the device does not support recording or playback of high-bitrate videos, such as 4K 120fps ProRes videos recorded on an iPhone.

The device is compatible with Windows 10 and later, macOS 12 and later, as well as iPadOS 15 and newer systems.

Additionally, SanDisk offers support for its “Memory Zone” software for Windows and Mac users. This software allows users to manage files, create backups, and clean up storage space. For added convenience, the app can automatically create backup copies of your data.
