A Modern Fertilizer Plant to Be Built in Turkmenabat: Contract Signed with Daewoo E&C

A large-scale project is set to begin in the largest industrial center of Lebap Province: a new mineral fertilizer plant will be constructed in Turkmenabat. The State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" has signed a contract with South Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. for the turnkey design and full construction of the facility. This was reported by official Turkmen media on Sunday.

What fertilizers will be produced in Turkmenabat?

The new plant will specialize in the production of:

Phosphate fertilizers, essential for increasing crop yields;

Ammonium sulfate, a popular nitrogen fertilizer with sulfur, suitable for a variety of crops.

The launch of the new complex is scheduled for 2029, and it will become an important element in the industrial development of Turkmenabat and reinforce Lebap’s position as a strategic industrial region.
