Arkadag and Fizuli Become Sister Cities
The city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan and the city of Fizuli in Azerbaijan have established sister city relations. The corresponding protocol was signed during the ceremony following the high-level trilateral meeting between Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan, reports TDH.

The signing ceremony took place with the participation of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Ilham Aliyev, President of Azerbaijan, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Uzbekistan.
In addition to the sister city protocol, agreements were signed in the fields of transport, aviation, and trade. Notably, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Turkmenistan's State Service “Türkmenhowaýollary” and Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Digital Development and Transport to develop international air communication. Agreements on cooperation in shipbuilding, civil aviation, and transport-logistics involving Uzbekistan were also concluded.
Special attention was given to developing trade and economic relations — an agreement was signed between Turkmenistan’s State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange and Uzbekistan’s Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange.
Following the meeting, the leaders of the three countries — Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, Ilham Aliyev, and Shavkat Mirziyoyev — issued a joint statement emphasizing that the further development of trilateral cooperation will contribute to peace, stability, trust, and mutual understanding both regionally and globally.
