China Proposes Creation of a Global Organization for Artificial Intelligence Cooperation
The People’s Republic of China has proposed that the international community establish a global organization for cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
According to Report, citing Reuters, Chinese President Xi Jinping made the statement during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in Gyeongju, South Korea.
“China proposes the creation of a worldwide organization for cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence to provide global public goods in AI to the international community,” Xi said.
He added that China is ready to work with APEC member states to improve public literacy in AI and bridge the digital and smart technology gap across the Asia-Pacific region.
