Exemplary Effort for High Yield in Kerki District
Last year, the tenant farmers of the Osman Söhbetow Agricultural Cooperative in Kerki District, who were leaders in the grain harvest, are again working diligently this year to achieve high results.

The grain growers of Kerki District, who were the region's frontrunners in last year's harvest, are even more motivated this year. The grain growers of the Osman Söhbetow Agricultural Cooperative have set a goal to harvest 3,970 tons of high-quality wheat grains from 1,587 hectares of land this year. This is because the farm, specializing in wheat seed production, has thoroughly mastered all the secrets of caring for the white ears.
All 501 tenants contracted with the cooperative are highly experienced grain growers. This season, the farm planted the "Alekseich" variety of wheat. Originally from Russia, this variety is distinguished by its high yield. Turkmen specialists specially visited the farm to thoroughly study the agro-technical requirements of this new variety, which created conditions for the tenants to achieve good yields.
When we visited this farm, we were interested in the results achieved by some of them. The work of about 20 tenant farmers from the leading farmer Eziz Geldiyev’s team is truly commendable. Among them, Akbike Allaberenova managed to harvest 55 centners (5.5 tons) of high-quality wheat grains per hectare from her assigned 2.5 hectares this year. She contributed nearly 14 tons of wheat to the Homeland’s granary, bringing substantial income to her honest household.
