Film Dedicated to Magtymguly Pyragy Wins the Grand Prize at an International Film Festival
Recently, the 13th International Film Festival "Slavic Fairy Tale" was held with great enthusiasm in Sofia, organized by the Bulgarian Academy of Television, Cinema, and Internet Communications. During the festival, new artistic films created by well-known directors from various countries were presented to the audience.
At this prestigious forum, the film "Magtymguly Pyragy," created in 2024 with a script jointly written by Turkmen and Uzbek screenwriters, was also screened. The film was directed by Uzbek filmmaker M. Erkinov. The participation of masters of theater and cinema from our country gave the film a special spiritual strength and national flavor.
The film is not only dedicated to the life and work of the great wordsmith Magtymguly Pyragy but also serves as a work that demonstrates the depth and continuity of cultural cooperation between Slavic and Turkic peoples, leaving a strong impression on viewers.
As a result, the film was highly praised by the international jury and was awarded the Grand Prize of the festival as well as a special Cup for its contribution to the development and strengthening of international cultural relations in the Eurasian space.
This victory is not only a success for the creative team but is also recognized as another significant achievement of Turkmen cinematography on the international stage.
