Fresh Produce Supply Expands in Lebap Region

Between January and March 2025, all farms in Turkmenistan’s Lebap province produced 2,195.5 tons of vegetables and 36.3 tons of lemons. During the same period, the region also produced 40.4 thousand tons of meat, 120.4 thousand tons of milk, and 58.6 million eggs.
The majority of this production came from private farms, highlighting the favorable conditions created in the country for entrepreneurial activity in agriculture. The adoption of modern technologies and strong government support have contributed to significant achievements in ensuring food security in the region.
Moreover, the seasonal cultivation of vegetables alongside the widespread use of greenhouse systems allows production to continue year-round. This not only meets domestic market demand but also enhances export potential. Thanks to the hard work of Lebap’s farmers and entrepreneurs, fresh and high-quality food products are readily available in local markets.
