If You Fall into a Harmful Habit

Since the late 19th century, the rise in diseases related to tobacco use has drawn the attention of healthcare professionals and scientists. They began to study the composition of tobacco in depth and discovered that it contains numerous toxic substances. A person who becomes addicted to smoking inhales nicotine, carbon monoxide, arsenic, and similar harmful compounds along with the smoke.

When smoking, some of these substances burn and are released into the air as smoke, while the rest remains in the cigarette butt or enters the body through the lungs, poisoning it. Most smokers suffer from chronic bronchitis.

Smoking can lead to dangerous lung cancer. Smokers frequently experience heart attacks, high blood pressure, myocardial dystrophy, and angina. Over time, many smokers develop impaired vision, hearing, taste, and sense of smell. Children born to smokers often show various congenital defects.

Cigarette smoke negatively affects not only the smoker but also those around them. According to doctors, it is easy to become addicted to smoking, but very difficult to quit. Therefore, it is important to follow doctors' advice and adopt a healthy lifestyle.
