New Gypsum Plant Under Construction in Koytendag

The “Ak Bulut” Economic Society is showing strong commitment in developing the natural resources of Köýtendag district. In addition to its previously operating plant, the company has started the construction of another powerful industrial facility.
The new plant is being built under the order of the “TürkmenGipsHojalyk” association and is designed to produce 250,000 tons of dry construction mixtures and 20 million square meters of gypsum board annually. The facility is being built near the town of Dostluk, in an area rich in raw materials.
Specialists conducted geological studies and discovered significant gypsum reserves located in shallow layers close to the surface. Experiments have shown that the site also has potential for the production of additional types of construction materials.
The plant is scheduled to be commissioned in March 2027, and it is expected to create more than 200 new jobs.
