Prospects of Bilateral Cooperation Between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia Discussed Within the Framework of LLDC3

On August 6, 2025, within the framework of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji. This was reported on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and Saudi Arabia. The importance of high-level and top-level visits in strengthening interstate relations was especially emphasized.
The diplomats paid particular attention to further strengthening political-diplomatic and trade-economic ties.
The sides also discussed cooperation within international organizations, primarily within the framework of the United Nations.
At the end of the meeting, mutual interest was expressed in further expanding Turkmen-Saudi cooperation based on the principles of mutual respect and trust.
