The National Leader of the Turkmen People Reviewed the Progress of Preparations for the Horse Races Dedicated to Independence Day

On September 24, the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Turkmen Halk Maslahaty (People’s Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, visited the Ashgabat Equestrian Sports Complex early in the morning. The Hero Arkadag acquainted himself with the preparation works for the 34th anniversary of our sacred Independence, which holds great importance in the life of our country, as well as the modernization of the complex.

Currently, high-level preparations are underway at the Ashgabat Equestrian Sports Complex for the celebration of the 34th anniversary of our Independence. The modernization of the complex has given it a unique and special appearance. The National Leader showed interest in the progress of the works, emphasizing their great significance for the organized conduct of the festive events and ensuring a high standard for the horse races.

The entire area of the equestrian sports complex has been modernized in accordance with contemporary requirements and high ecological standards. As a result, it has become a highly effective equestrian sports complex that meets international standards.

The National Leader stressed the necessity of creating all the necessary conditions not only for the horses and jockeys but also for the numerous guests and fans who will attend the events. The high organizational level of the festive races must be ensured. The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty also noted that the cultural program dedicated to the races should be comprehensively prepared.

Hero Arkadag rode a horse named Khanbeg around the designated area of the complex and showed interest in the condition of the race track and the adjacent territory. The race track must meet modern standards. All necessary facilities should be created for the organized conduct of the races. Continuing the discussion, the National Leader emphasized the importance of bringing together Turkmen jockeys and horse specialists to discuss issues related to the condition of the race track.

The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty highlighted the necessity of joint efforts to ensure a high organizational level of the festive events at the Ashgabat Equestrian Sports Complex, wished everyone success in the high-quality implementation of the program prepared for the celebration, and then proceeded to the Akhal Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan.

Currently, modernization work is progressing rapidly at the complex located in a picturesque corner at the foot of the Kopetdag mountains. Hero Arkadag showed interest in the progress of the work, stressing the need to create all necessary conditions for the horses and the effective work of the riders. At the same time, the labor of horse specialists, who make a worthy contribution to continuing the glorious history of the heavenly horses in line with the spirit of the present time, should be encouraged.
