The President of Turkmenistan Concludes His Working Visit to the United States of America
As part of his working visit to the United States, the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, participated in and delivered a speech on the first day of the high-level plenary meeting of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
In the morning, the motorcade of the esteemed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived at the UN Headquarters. There, the Head of State was warmly welcomed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres and other officials. A group photo was taken, after which the plenary session began and participating leaders were given the floor.
In his speech, the President began by congratulating the attendees on the opening of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly and wished everyone productive and successful work.
The Hero Arkadagly Serdar emphasized that ensuring international peace and security is a key priority in Turkmenistan’s cooperation with the United Nations. He affirmed that, as a permanently neutral state, Turkmenistan is fully aware of its responsibilities and is ready to continue implementing concrete measures aimed at building a dialogue based on mutual respect, cooperation, and understanding — a foundation for sustainable development at both the global and regional levels.
Among the initiatives proposed by the President of Turkmenistan were draft resolutions that aim to play a significant role in promoting global peace, security, and sustainable development.
After concluding the official part of the working visit, the Head of State traveled to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York and departed for Turkmenistan. A few hours later, the President's plane landed at Ashgabat International Airport, where he was welcomed by senior government officials.
