Turkey Simplifies Student Visa Process for Citizens of Turkmenistan
Starting from August 20, 2025, new simplified procedures for obtaining student visas in Turkey come into effect for citizens of Turkmenistan.

This was announced on the official website of Gateway International, the authorized visa center representing Turkey.
No Appointment Needed Anymore
According to the updated rules, Turkmen citizens wishing to apply for a student visa are no longer required to book an appointment in advance. Applicants can now directly visit the visa center with a full set of required documents — the most important of which is the admission letter from a Turkish educational institution or a valid student ID.
Reason: Surge in Applications
As stated by Gateway International, the decision was made due to a sharp increase in the number of student visa applications from Turkmenistan. The new system is aimed at reducing processing delays and improving service efficiency.
Required Documents for Application
To apply through the new simplified system, the applicant must prepare the following documents:

Passport-sized photo,

Health insurance,

Proof of financial means (if required),

Completed visa application form.
Although no appointment is needed, it is still mandatory to present a complete set of documents.
