According to Pigott, Marco Rubio reaffirmed the United States’ strong commitment to continued partnership with Turkmenistan, including the expansion of economic and trade ties and investment in joint projects. The parties discussed potential areas to increase trade volume and cooperation prospects in energy, transport, and the digital sector.

C5+1 as a Key Platform for Regional Dialogue

Special attention during the talks was given to promoting regional integration through the diplomatic platform C5+1, which brings together the five Central Asian countries and the United States. Both sides emphasized the importance of multilateral cooperation aimed at regional stability, attracting investment, and countering transnational threats.

Security and Stability in Central Asia

The agenda also included issues of regional security, including the fight against terrorism, extremism, drug trafficking, and cyber threats. Both parties expressed mutual interest in enhancing cooperation between law enforcement agencies and exchanging experience in addressing modern security challenges.
