Turkmenistan Intends to Increase Exports of Construction Materials to the UAE and Gulf Countries
A Turkmen delegation led by the Minister of Construction and Architecture, Abdullah Geldiyev, held a series of meetings with representatives of the Government of the United Arab Emirates, the leadership of dmg events, as well as foreign construction and engineering companies. The parties discussed increasing Turkmenistan’s exports of construction materials to the UAE and Gulf countries.
The negotiations took place on the sidelines of the Big 5 Global 2025 exhibition in Dubai. The sides also explored potential areas of cooperation, particularly in digital and engineering solutions, TEF reported on Wednesday.
During his speech at Big 5 Global 2025, Abdullah Geldiyev presented an overview of key trends in the development of Turkmenistan’s construction industry, highlighting the priorities of sustainable urban development, infrastructure modernization, and the adoption of international standards.
The Turkmen delegation visited the national pavilions of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and China, where they familiarized themselves with new solutions in energy-efficient technologies, smart-city systems, and infrastructure development.
Foreign companies expressed positive feedback regarding the outcomes of the CIET 2025 exhibition, which was previously held in Awaza. The Turkmen side invited partners to the next sectoral event — CIET 2026, scheduled for November.
BIG 5 Global 2025 is one of the world’s largest platforms for the construction industry. It is held at the Dubai World Trade Centre and brings together manufacturers, developers, and technology companies showcasing new materials, engineering solutions, and digital technologies for modern construction.
