Windows 11 Replaces the “Blue Screen of Death” with a Black Screen

Microsoft has begun gradually rolling out a new version of the critical error screen for Windows 11 users. The famous “Blue Screen of Death” (BSOD) will now appear in black. This marks the first major change in its appearance since the introduction of the sad face emoji in Windows 8.
The new BSOD features a simplified design, with the sad face and QR code removed. Visually, it now resembles the black screen that appears during Windows updates. At the same time, it retains important information about the error and the faulty driver.
The updated BSOD is also part of a Windows 11 update that includes a feature called Microsoft Quick Machine Recovery (QMR), designed to speed up the recovery of the computer’s operation.
