Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty Meets with the UN Secretary-General
As previously reported, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the third UN international conference on landlocked developing countries.
At Turkmenbashi International Airport, the high-ranking guest was warmly welcomed by Chairman of Turkmenistan’s Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The National Leader congratulated the UN Secretary-General and expressed his pleasure at seeing him on Turkmen soil.
In turn, António Guterres emphasized that holding and participating in this international forum — a platform for discussing important issues relevant to all humanity — is a great honor for him.
According to the “Watan” news program, the UN Secretary-General expressed gratitude to the President and the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan for the opportunities provided and the broad support in hosting the forum.
At this international forum held on the shores of the Caspian Sea in Turkmenistan, key issues of the global economy will be discussed. Additionally, ways and methods for the successful implementation of tasks in this area will be determined.
