Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Met with the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan

Within the framework of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, a meeting was held in the "Awaza" National Tourist Zone between the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, D. Gulmanova, and the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, T. Narbayeva. This was reported on the official website of the Mejlis.

According to the report, the meeting noted with satisfaction that interparliamentary cooperation continues to develop effectively within the context of Turkmen-Uzbek relations, which have reached a qualitatively new level thanks to the consistent efforts of the heads of both states. This is clearly evidenced by the active participation of delegations from both countries in international events held in each other's territories, as well as cooperation within multilateral dialogue platforms.

It was emphasized that such events and visits contribute to the development of interparliamentary relations, coordination of mutual efforts, and the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian areas.

It was also stressed that the international conference held in the "Awaza" National Tourist Zone and the Parliamentary Forum organized within its framework would have great significance for the further development of friendly and brotherly relations between the peoples.
