FIFA Presents Updated National Team Rankings

The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has released the updated rankings of national teams.

Spain tops the list with 1880.76 points. The world champions, Argentina, moved into second place with 1872.43 points. France sits in third place with 1862.71 points.

Turkmenistan’s national team dropped four places and is now ranked 142nd with 1078.09 points. In October, the team played two matches in the 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers against Sri Lanka: on October 9, Turkmenistan lost 0–1 away, but on October 14, they secured a 2–1 victory at the stadium in the city of Arkadag.

The biggest improvement was shown by Nigeria’s national team, which climbed nine places to 108th. The Faroe Islands team gained the most points (+37.95), also moving up nine spots to 127th place. Kosovo’s national team also achieved a record, climbing seven places to reach 84th.

The biggest drop came from Greece, which fell eight places and is now ranked 48th. Sweden lost the most points (–27.63) and also dropped eight places, now ranking 40th.
