The first semi-final match of the CONCACAF Champions Cup has concluded, with Inter Miami hosting Vancouver Whitecaps at their home ground. The match took place in Fort Lauderdale at DRV PNK Stadium and ended with a 3:1 victory for the visitors.
The winners' goals were scored by forward Brian White and midfielders Pedro Vite and Sebastian Berhalter.
Notably, former FC Barcelona players Luis Suárez, Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, and Sergio Busquets, now playing for Inter Miami, completed the full match. Alba scored the hosts' only goal, assisted by Suárez.
The first leg had ended with a 0:2 defeat for Inter Miami. As a result, the Herons lost 1:5 on aggregate over the two matches and failed to advance to the final of the prestigious North American tournament. In the final, the Canadian team will face the winner of the matchup between Mexican sides Cruz Azul and UNAL Pumas. The first leg between those teams ended in a 1:1 draw.
