Joao Pedro, Chelsea’s new player, scored twice and eliminated his boyhood club from CWC 2025
After transferring from Brighton to Chelsea for €63.7 million, Joao Pedro became the standout star of the 2025 Club World Cup semifinal. He scored twice (18', 56') against his former club Fluminense, helping the London side to a 2–0 victory.
Out of respect for the club that developed him, the striker chose not to celebrate his goals. In just his second match, Pedro demonstrated impressive technique and confidence.
Chelsea's opponent in the final will be determined after the match between PSG and Real Madrid. Thus, a European club is guaranteed to win the final.
