New Horizons in International Cooperation in Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas Industry

Currently, active cooperation with foreign companies in the country’s oil and gas industry is being developed on a broad scale. In this regard, the state policy initiated by Hero Arkadag is being successfully continued by our esteemed President.Last week, a trilateral meeting held at the “Garagum” hotel in our capital, Ashgabat, marked the beginning of an important new phase in international cooperation. During this meeting, two significant agreements were signed. One was concluded between the “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit” state concerns and Malaysia’s “PETRONAS Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd” company, while the other was signed with the United Arab Emirates’ “ADNOC Turkmenistan RSC Limited” company.On May 14, with the signing of relevant documents by our esteemed President, the “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit” state concerns were officially authorized to conclude these international contracts. In accordance with these documents, joint efforts with “PETRONAS” and “ADNOC” will be undertaken to develop new oil and gas fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea under the “Block-1” contractual area. These initiatives pave the way for long-term cooperation and demonstrate the successful implementation of Turkmenistan’s energy strategy.The achievement of these agreements is not only economically significant but also reaffirms Turkmenistan’s status as a reliable energy partner on the global stage. This event has further strengthened ties between our country’s major oil and gas entities and leading companies from Malaysia and the UAE. Thus, Turkmenistan serves as a key hub for energy cooperation, not only regionally but also internationally.Alongside this, our country is successfully implementing its strategy to diversify the routes for exporting hydrocarbon resources to global markets. This contributes to the sustainable development of our economy, the attraction of new investments, and the enhancement of our people’s well-being.The ambitious initiatives led by our esteemed President inspire pride and confidence. The extensive international cooperation currently underway supports the effective utilization of Turkmenistan’s energy potential and enhances the international prestige of Neutral Turkmenistan.
