Turkmenistan’s President Held a Working Meeting
On May 20, President Serdar Berdimuhamedow held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev and the governors of the provinces. The meeting addressed issues related to the work being carried out in the country’s agricultural sector and regions.

Ahal Province Report
The floor was first given to T. Nurmyradow, the governor of Ahal Province, who reported on seasonal agricultural activities. Preparations for the grain harvest season are underway, with necessary organizational measures being implemented to ensure the timely and proper collection of seed wheat. In the province’s cotton fields, inter-row cultivation, weeding, and thinning are being conducted, utilizing agricultural machinery at full capacity. Additionally, within the cocoon season, work continues to deliver cocoons to receiving points. In fields planted with spring potatoes and other vegetables, care and harvesting are being carried out in accordance with agrotechnical standards. The governor also reported on preparations for the “Last Bell” ceremony on May 25.
President Berdimuhamedow, after hearing the report, emphasized the importance of conducting seasonal work in line with agrotechnical standards and effectively utilizing agricultural machinery, issuing relevant instructions.
Balkan Province Report
Next, H. Ashyrmyradow, the governor of Balkan Province, spoke. He expressed gratitude to the President and National Leader for the opportunity to visit Golestan Province in Iran from May 14–16 to discuss trade, economic, scientific-technical, and cultural cooperation under an existing agreement. The governor then reported on ongoing seasonal agricultural work in Balkan Province. Preparations for the grain harvest, including the collection and storage of seed wheat, are in progress. Cotton fields are undergoing inter-row cultivation, weeding, and thinning. Cocoon delivery to enterprises continues, and care for spring potatoes and vegetables, as well as harvesting, is being conducted. The governor also reported on preparations for the “Last Bell” ceremony.
The President stressed the importance of adhering to agrotechnical standards at all stages of agricultural production to ensure high-quality yields and efficient farming, issuing relevant directives.
Dashoguz Province Report
D. Babayev, the governor of Dashoguz Province, reported on seasonal agricultural activities. Preparations for the grain harvest include readying grain-receiving enterprises, combine harvesters, and other equipment. Cotton fields are undergoing inter-row cultivation, weeding, and thinning, with effective use of agricultural machinery. Rice planting continues, with measures taken to meet deadlines. Silk producers are tending to silkworm cocoons, and care for spring potatoes and vegetables, along with harvesting, is being carried out. The governor also reported on preparations for the “Last Bell” ceremony on May 25.

Lebap Province Report
M. Annanepesov, the governor of Lebap Province, reported on ongoing seasonal agricultural work. Preparations for the grain harvest are in their final stages. Cotton fields are being tended to in accordance with agrotechnical standards, including inter-row cultivation, weeding, and thinning. Care for spring potatoes and vegetables is ongoing, and preparations for the “Last Bell” ceremony were also reported.

Mary Province Report
B. Orazov, the governor of Mary Province, reported on ongoing seasonal agricultural activities. Preparations for the grain harvest include readying grain-receiving enterprises, elevators, combine harvesters, and vehicles. Seed wheat collection and storage preparations are underway. Cotton fields are undergoing inter-row cultivation, weeding, and thinning. Cocoon harvesting and delivery to state warehouses continue, as do care and harvesting of spring potatoes and vegetables. The governor also reported on preparations for the “Last Bell” ceremony on May 25.
