President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov Begins Official Visit to Mongolia
According to the electronic edition of the newspaper “Turkmenistan”, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan has begun a two-day state visit to Mongolia.
At Buyant-Ukhaa International Airport in the Mongolian capital Ulaanbaatar, an Honor Guard was lined up in honor of the distinguished guest’s arrival. President Berdimuhamedov was warmly welcomed by Mongolian officials and members of the Turkmen delegation. He was presented with flowers and a traditional Mongolian treat — gurt, served in a national bowl.
During the visit, it is expected that bilateral documents will be signed to strengthen the legal and contractual framework of Turkmen-Mongolian intergovernmental relations.
As part of the visit, a Turkmen-Mongolian business forum will be held, along with cultural events featuring master artists, an exhibition of traditional arts and crafts, and a Turkmen carpet fair and exhibition.
It is noted that diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and Mongolia were established in 1992.
This first official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Mongolia is expected to open a new chapter in strengthening and expanding effective cooperation between the two friendly nations.
