Smartphones with the Best Displays Announced
A new ranking of smartphones based on display quality has been released by DxOMark, a French technology company considered a global leader in multimedia quality evaluation. Topping the list is the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL. This smartphone was introduced in August 2025 and, although it features a display similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 9 Pro XL, it has managed to surpass its competitors thanks to several technical improvements.
The new flagship model is equipped with a 6.8-inch LTPO OLED display. Its resolution is 2992 × 1334 pixels. The screen supports a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1 to 120 Hz. It is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2, which increases durability.
The display supports HDR and reaches a peak brightness of 2200 nits in direct sunlight, while it can dim down to 4 nits in complete darkness. New features include 480 Hz PWM dimming, improved HDR algorithms, and systems that deliver more natural color reproduction.
It is noted that the display is precisely calibrated and provides natural image adjustments based on ambient lighting. The touchscreen responds quickly and has received the TÜV Eye Comfort certification. However, one drawback is present — when viewed from extreme angles, some slight color shifts may occur.
In total scoring, the Pixel 10 Pro XL received 161 points, edging out the Galaxy S25 Ultra and Pixel 10, both of which scored 160 points. The top 10 also includes the Pixel 9 series, Galaxy S25, and Honor Magic6 models.
iPhone, however, did not make it into the top 10 this time: the iPhone 15 Pro Max ranked only 24th, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max fell even lower — at 29th place.
