The President of Turkmenistan held a working meeting

Ashgabat, May 12 (TDH) – Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers T. Atahallyyev and regional governors (hakims), during which issues related to agricultural activities and regional developments were discussed.
First, Ahal Province Governor T. Nurmyradov reported on seasonal agricultural work in the province. It was noted that alongside caring for wheat fields, preparations are underway to harvest and properly store seed wheat. In cotton fields, inter-row cultivation, thinning, and weeding continue with full deployment of agricultural machinery. As part of the silkworm season, cocoons are being delivered to collection points. The governor also reported on preparations for upcoming celebrations dedicated to the Constitution Day and the State Flag Day of Turkmenistan.
After hearing the report, the President emphasized that adherence to agro-technical standards is crucial for effective agriculture and issued relevant instructions to the governor.
Balkan Province Governor H. Ashyrmyradov provided a similar update, noting ongoing care for wheat and cotton fields, preparation for wheat harvest, and maintenance of silkworms. The President stressed the importance of high-quality seasonal work and efficient use of machinery, giving appropriate orders.
Dashoguz Governor D. Babaev reported that efforts are underway to cultivate wheat and cotton according to agro-technical norms, rice planting continues, and silkworm care is ongoing. Preparations for Constitution Day and Flag Day celebrations are in progress. The President again emphasized the importance of proper agricultural practices and gave specific instructions.
Lebap Governor M. Annanepesov reported on wheat field maintenance, readiness of grain collection points, preparation of harvest machinery, cotton care, and final stages of cocoon collection. Preparations for national celebrations are also ongoing. The President instructed that all work be carried out with high quality and organization.
Mary Governor B. Orazov reported on similar efforts in his province – continued care of wheat fields, harvesting and storing seed wheat, cotton field maintenance, and cocoon collection. The President underlined the need for effective and timely fieldwork with proper use of machinery.
Then, Deputy Prime Minister T. Atahallyyev reported on the national agricultural campaign: care for wheat and cotton, rice planting in Dashoguz, cocoon collection in Ahal, Lebap, and Mary provinces, and fire prevention measures in forest, pasture, and cultivated areas due to rising temperatures.
The President highlighted the strategic importance of agriculture for national food security and industry, stressing the need to introduce modern technologies and scientific advances in agriculture.
In conclusion, the President instructed officials to strictly oversee fieldwork, ensure timely rice sowing, continue caring for silkworms, settle payments with agricultural producers, and prepare well for national celebrations. He wished everyone good health, family well-being, and success in their work.
