The Role of Private Entrepreneurship in Türkmenabat: Masters of Sweet‑Confectionery Products “Şerbet”
In the era of revival in the new epoch of our independent and eternal Neutral State, government policy gives high priority to the development of entrepreneurship. Thanks to concerted efforts to promote, support, and refine small and medium entrepreneurship, private initiatives are being successfully realized, and a rich assortment of goods is being created in our nation’s “white markets.”
In ensuring food abundance, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, and the private producer of sweet‑confectionery goods “Şerbet”, make a worthy contribution. In the private facility located in Türkmenabat, more than 50 skilled workers and professionals are employed, and production runs in two shifts. Meeting the advanced demands of the citizens, and already serving the people for several years, this private operation produces various types of sweet‑confectionery goods and high‑quality festive sweets that adorn our wedding and celebration tables.
— Our products are made by order, in accordance with customers’ preferences, with great attention to decorative features and quality. That is why our festive sweets under names like “Arzuw”, “Erteki”, “Şerbet”, “Şanly”, “Milli öwüşgin”, “Miweli”, “Aý”, “Güneş”, “Mylaýym hoz tagamly”, “Täsinlik” are purchased by customers with great demand. In one day and night we prepare nearly 300 kilograms of confectionery — states the head of the private production and technologist Elnara Bahtu.
Of course, the product quality depends on the mastery of its makers. In a modern production environment, experienced specialists apply creativity and industrious work in pursuit of innovation. Alongside high quality, the visually appealing presentation and aesthetic decoration of products also attract customers’ attention. In the design and decoration of products, confectionery production specialist Shirin Häsiýetowa and decorator Jahan Rustamow render meritorious service.
— We prepare more than 30 varieties of festive sweets, and about 40 types of other confectionery goods such as gutap, cakes, rolls, and similar. When producing, the rising demands of the public are considered. Especially the chocolate‑flavored sweets are preferred items. Over recent years, partly preserved (fermented) and fruit sweets are also heavily purchased. In advancing our work, each worker and specialist contributes their part. In particular, I would like to highlight the efforts of professionals such as Zuhra Hamraýewa, Swetlana Şakirowa, Nadežda Orłowa, Bella Denisowa, Chynar Hallyýewa, Irina Samatowa, Sofiýa Çaryýewa, Wenera Şadyýewa, and bakers Raima Gullyýewa and Sergeý Hojaýew. Their dedication ensures that the sweets and confectionery produced under “Şerbet” can be purchased by our people at any time in our trade store. Also, our “Şerbet” café serves the public broadly. God willing, in the International Year of Peace and Trust, we will meet the commemorated great dates with our labor achievements. On behalf of all of us — entrepreneurs — I express heartfelt thanks to our Hero Arkadag, our Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the great opportunities created for entrepreneurs, — declared the head of the private enterprise Elnara Bahtu with pride and gratitude.
