Turkmen Delegation Participated in International Environmental Conference
On July 25, 2025, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N.H. Atagulyyev, participated in the International Environmental Conference held in the Altai Republic of the Russian Federation.
The main topics of the conference were climate change, the development of national economies, and the preservation of biodiversity.
In his speech at the conference, N.H. Atagulyyev drew the participants’ attention to the key directions of Turkmenistan’s environmental policy, which is aimed at ensuring ecological safety, promoting sustainable development, and preserving the country’s natural heritage.
He also spoke about Turkmenistan’s participation in international environmental conventions, the country’s specially protected natural areas, nationwide tree-planting efforts, the introduction of innovative, water-saving, and waste-free technologies in the agro-industrial and industrial sectors, the development of renewable energy sources, and other ongoing initiatives in these areas.
