Turkmenistan Launches First Online Platform to Monitor University and College Admissions
As part of ongoing reforms to modernize the education system and enhance transparency, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has launched a new digital initiative — the informational platform dalasgar.bilim.tm. This platform is designed to provide comprehensive, real-time updates on the 2025 university and vocational college admissions campaign across the country.

For the first time in Turkmenistan, an interactive system has been developed to track admissions progress online with daily data updates. The platform is a major step toward the digital transformation of the education sector and aims to support young people in making informed decisions about their future careers.
What does the platform offer?
The dalasgar.bilim.tm platform is updated daily and provides detailed statistics in the following areas:
-
Number of submitted applications by institution and by field of study;
-
Geographic breakdown of applications across different regions of the country;
-
Level of competition — the ratio of applicants to available quota-based placements;
-
Submission trends — dynamic data showing how applications progress throughout the admissions period.
These features allow prospective students and their families to better understand which majors are in high demand, where competition is lower, and what their chances of admission might be.
Why is this important?
According to the Ministry of Education, the platform is primarily aimed at supporting applicants. It helps them to:
-
Assess their knowledge and chances of admission objectively;
-
Adjust their application plans based on real-time competition data;
-
Make well-informed decisions when choosing a university or field of study;
-
Avoid overcrowded programs with intense competition, improving their chances of success.
This open access to data reduces uncertainty in the admissions process, builds public trust in the education system, and fosters fairness and transparency.
A new chapter for education
The creation and implementation of dalasgar.bilim.tm is part of a broader national strategy to digitize the education sector and expand access to quality information. It also meets the expectations of today’s youth, for whom digital tools are essential in everyday life.
Additionally, this project contributes to the development of an open information environment in education, where all stakeholders — applicants, parents, educators — can make decisions based on accurate and timely data.
