Turkmenistan Welcomes Participants of the UN Avaza Forum

The "Avaza" National Tourist Zone is hosting participants and other guests of the third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), according to the newspaper "Turkmenistan."

At the Turkmenbashi International Airport, forum participants are greeted in accordance with the best national traditions of Turkmen hospitality. A festive spirit reigns in the coastal city and the "Avaza" National Tourist Zone, as evidenced by the holiday decorations, banners, and welcome signs throughout the streets.

The forum includes large-scale events in political-diplomatic, trade-economic, and cultural-humanitarian spheres. Business meetings, thematic exhibitions, and National Days of Central Asian countries will be organized.

The conference holds special significance as 2025 has been declared the “International Year of Peace and Trust,” coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. This highlights Turkmenistan’s commitment to the principles of peace and international cooperation.

The goal of the UN Avaza Forum is to create a broad platform for establishing cooperation to help landlocked developing countries overcome existing challenges and realize their potential, as well as to find effective solutions in this direction.

The forum's agenda includes discussions on key topics such as the transport system and communications, youth policy, sustainable energy, and the circular economy. Special attention will also be given to cultural and humanitarian events, including a friendship concert and the National Days of Central Asian countries.
