A Private Sector Forum to Be Held Within the Framework of the UN Conference in Turkmenistan

As part of the third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDCs), a private sector forum will also be organized in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone.

According to TDH, the forum will provide an excellent platform to further strengthen the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Turkmenistan and to integrate them into the global supply chain. Recognizing the crucial importance of entrepreneurship in landlocked developing countries, the forum organizers emphasize its role in overcoming challenges related to geographical isolation.

Specialized sessions and events will be held within the framework of the conference, focusing on entrepreneurship, attracting investments, developing transport and logistics corridors, and expanding trade relations. Turkmen entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to present their projects, exchange experiences with foreign counterparts, and establish new business contacts. This will create favorable conditions for signing mutually beneficial agreements and implementing joint initiatives.

Particular attention at the forum will be given to digitalization and the introduction of innovative technologies in the private sector. Landlocked developing countries face the need to find new ways to ensure competitiveness, and digital solutions can be one of the key tools in this process. Turkmenistan’s private sector is currently achieving significant success in this area, and its accumulated experience may be valuable for other forum participants.

The forum in the “Avaza” National Tourist Zone will also open up new prospects for deepening cooperation between Turkmenistan’s private sector and international organizations, including UN specialized agencies, financial institutions, and investment structures.

The holding of a private sector forum within the framework of the third UN Conference on LLDCs will become a significant event in the timeline of entrepreneurship development in Turkmenistan and will strengthen the sector’s position on the international stage. As noted in the report, this large-scale event will not only highlight the potential of Turkmen entrepreneurs but also contribute to the further development of market mechanisms and the attraction of foreign investments.
