Issues Related to Mutual Relations in the Transport Sector Between Turkmenistan and Ethiopia Were Discussed

On August 4, a meeting was held between Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Ahmet Gurbanov and Minister of Transport and Logistics of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Alemu Sime Feisa.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation and the prospects for its development, as well as issues related to mutual relations in the transport sector, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Ethiopian side noted the importance of the visit of the Turkmen delegation led by the head of the Democratic Party, A. Serdarov, to Addis Ababa earlier this year.
The significance of the United Nations Third Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries was emphasized during the meeting.
The Ethiopian side expressed its willingness to participate in Turkmenistan’s initiatives for the sake of peace and sustainable development.
In this regard, the importance of the International Forum on Peace and Trust, to be held in Turkmenistan this December, was highlighted.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Transport and Logistics of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia expressed gratitude to the Turkmen side for organizing the United Nations Third Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries and for their hospitality.
