New Hospitals: President Discusses Projects and Preparations for Medical Workers’ Day
The President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow, visited facilities in the southern part of Ashgabat and listened to reports on the construction of medical institutions. This was reported by the information agency TDH.
According to the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, B. Annamammedov, the plans include the construction of a multi-profile hospital with 500 beds in Ashgabat, a 300-bed hospital in the city of Tejen in Ahal province, a Maternal and Child Health Center with 400 beds in Dashoguz, and a Health House in the Bagtyyarlyk district of the capital.
The President instructed to ensure the quality of construction and equip the facilities with modern equipment, including the use of digital technologies.
At a meeting with relevant officials, the implementation progress of the State Program “Saglyk,” preparations for Medical Workers’ Day, and issues of improving Ashgabat’s infrastructure were discussed.
Minister of Health and Medical Industry M. Mammedov reported on the modernization of medical centers and preventive measures.
The Head of State noted that on October 10, celebrations will be held in the country, including the opening of medical facilities and the international exhibition “Healthcare, Education, and Sports.”
In conclusion, Serdar Berdimuhamedow emphasized the need for further development of the healthcare system and improving the quality of medical services.
