President of the Republic of Tajikistan Arrived in Turkmenistan

On August 4, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.

As reported in the “Watan” news program, the high-ranking guest was welcomed with the traditional offering of bread and salt upon his arrival at the Turkmenbashi International Airport. The President of Tajikistan was warmly received by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who expressed his great pleasure in welcoming the Tajik leader to Turkmen soil.

President Emomali Rahmon expressed his gratitude for the invitation to attend the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries being held in Turkmenistan and noted that participating in this globally significant event was a great honor for him.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, and President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that friendly and mutually beneficial relations between the two countries have been actively developing in recent years.

The two leaders exchanged warm wishes and expressed confidence that the topics to be discussed at the international conference would give a strong impetus to the further development of bilateral cooperation.
