Wheat Harvest Launched with Ceremony in Lebap Province
On June 4, 2025, the wheat harvest officially began across all provinces of Turkmenistan with festive ceremonies. During the latest Cabinet of Ministers meeting, relevant instructions were issued, and traditional events were held in accordance with national customs. The harvest was launched with the blessing words “Bismillah” from respected elders.

In Lebap province, the main celebratory event took place at the leading "Watan" Farmers’ Association in the Charjew district. The event featured music, dances, and sports competitions held on wheat fields. Local residents, elders, and farmers participated with great enthusiasm.
This year, wheat was sown on 130,000 hectares in the province, and the goal is to harvest 310,000 tons of grain. A total of 315 combines, more than 600 combine operators, and over 1,500 trucks are involved in the campaign to deliver the harvest to storage facilities.
Modern agricultural machinery imported from abroad ensures a high-speed harvesting process. Additionally, service providers and repair teams are working actively.
Thousands of farmers in the Amu Darya river valley are working diligently for a bountiful harvest. Thanks to their hard work, food abundance is secured throughout the country. In Lebap province, high-yield wheat varieties are currently being harvested.
On the first day of the harvest, grain is delivered to 35 storage centers across the province. Every stage of the campaign follows a pre-arranged plan.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedow has made the successful harvest and agricultural development a priority in national policy. Consistent efforts and programs are being implemented across the country.
